This morning I rummaged through some old files on my hard drive, seeking some writing inspiration. I came across an old file marked “Diary”. I opened the document, and it dated back to 2003. Obviously this is a file I brought over from an old, now discarded computer.
The writing wasn’t thrilling, but it was interesting to see what I was doing back then. There were only a few entries, yet that is typical for me. I have a habit of starting diaries, and then becoming distracted. Years go by, and I accumulate blank pages.
I love the idea of keeping a ledger, and envy those who maintain the daily commitment. My mother is one such person. Each day she faithfully writes in her ledger, something she has done for years. Her ledgers prove to be a great resource for family history, missing information and just general interest.
I suppose blogging is the new ledger. But, it also gives us a public forum, it is a very public commitment, and should we neglect that commitment, it is no longer a private non-action, that blog (should we not delete it) hangs out there in the Internet twighlight zone, the last entry’s date, a day from the long ago past.
My commitment in blogging is a bit sporadic, yet I am trying do succeed in blogging, where my diaries failed. Some weeks I blog every day, and then weeks go by, and I realize I will soon enter that search engine dead zone.
I’m back again. For now.

Our products and services
I’ve been so busy lately, no time to blog!
One thing I have been doing is revamping our website at www.robeth.com.
We offer publishing services and products, and we are organizing our website in a way to make it easier for our visitors to utilize what we have to offer.
We began publishing books, and local publications over 20 years ago. Today we still do the books, but our local publications (and non-local publications) aren’t necessarily printed, they are virtual publications: websites. But, we not only publish our own websites, we are webmaster to other sites, such as the HavasuMuseum.org. If your business or association needs a website, consider us!
Other services we provide include Internet Research, for those who need a little research help for an article, business project or genealogical research. We also offer formatting, for those self-publishers who need help preparing their manuscript for upload at a site, such as lulu.com. Another service is affordable digital photo restoration. We are also working with a professional graphic designer, for those who need a custom logo designed for their business.
Of course, we still offer our various publications, family novelty books and eBooks, plus print-your-own recipe cards.
Robeth Publishing is about help to the self-publisher, along with our own publications.
